Cancellation policy

Before the trek or expedition

If the client cancels a reservation 60 days prior to services then a full refund will be applicable.

Walk Patagonia reserves the right to cancel a trek or expedition up to 30 days before the departure date for reasons of force majeure, unusual circumstances and situations beyond the control of the company, under the condition of reimbursing 100% of what has already been paid by the client. Apart from a full refund, no other compensation is possible. In this case the client can choose between a total refund or an alternative excursion offered by Walk Patagonia, subject to a price adjustment and availability of dates and/or space.

If the trip has to be shortened or lengthened because of unforeseen reasons or force majeure Walk Patagonia cannot be held responsible for extra costs incurred by the situation. These will be exclusively taken care of by the client.

During the trek or expedition
Once services have started, clients who decide not to use services included during the trek or an expedition will have no right to a refund. There is no refund for any service not used, including transfers, meals, hotel reservations, etc.

If the Guide, once the trek has started, decides to cancel and return from a certain point or modify the itinerary for strictly climatic reasons, security, force majeure or on request from the client/s for whatever reason NO refund is possible.

Last minute changes because of modifications to the National Park regulations do not give the right to a refund as this is beyond the responsibility of Walk Patagonia.

Cancellation of ice trekking on Torre Glacier(*):

The previous polices stated apply as well as the following points:

  • Tyrolean rope: in the case of arriving at this point and then the guide deciding that it is not possible to continue towards the glacier for climatic reasons, security or force majeure Walk Patagonia will refund 80% of the value of the trekking.
  • Having passed over the Tyrolean rope, no refund of any kind will be possible.

The cancellation of services by a Contracted company:

In the case of services contracted by another agent and not WP, for example; transfers, excursions, meals, etc. and that are cancelled or not provided for whatever reason or motive, the responsibility of Walk Patagonia is exclusively limited to finding an alternative service similar to that reserved and/or the refund in cash without any other kind of compensation possible.
